About Baby Matteo

Baby Matteo was born at Mater Dei Hospital on 18 December 2021. Diagnosed with Trisomy 21 and a large atrioventricular septal defect, he showed extraordinary courage and resilience throughout his short life.

Matteo passed away on 2 March 2022 at Great Ormond Street Hospital following complications after open-heart surgery. His profound impact continues through the Foundation, bringing comfort, support and remembrance to families facing unimaginable loss.

No family should walk this journey alone.
